Day 1
Continental breakfast at hotel Hostal de la Noria. We will visit the Oaxaca Cultures Museum at the former Convent of Santo Domingo de Guzman.
Arrival at Oaxaca Airport , where we will be greeted and transfer to our Hotel Hostal de la Noria. After check in, you will be treated to a welcome cocktail and lunch.
You will be free to relax until after lunch.
In the afternoon you will immerse yourself in the cobblestone streets of Oaxaca while visiting the Historical downtown.
Ending at the magnificent Hotel Camino Real (former ex convent).
Where we will have the opportunity to see the show The Guelaguetza and dinner.
Day 2.
Continental breakfast served at Hostal de la Noria.
Excursion to Pre-Hispanic Monte Alban, former capital of the Zapotec culture.
Lunch at the Restaurant TBA.
After Lunch, we will stroll around the Ex Convent of Santo Domingo.
Day 3
Continental breakfast served at Hotel Hostal de la Noria.
After breakfast, visit to the famous “The Tule Tree", an ancient Moctezuma cypress
in the church grounds of the quaint town of Santa Maria del Tule.
We will then have a chance to explore the open market of Tlacolula.
Lunch will be served at a mezcal – making facility, where you will be shown the process of mezcal production and will be able to taste various types of this beverage.
Excursion to the Mitla archaeological site, a Zapotec ceremonial centre dating back to 950 A. D.
Following the tour we will stop at Teotitlan del Valle, a town famous for its wool weaving products and shops.
Return to Hotel and time for relaxation.
Day 4
Continental breakfast at Hotel Hostal de la Noria.
Tour of Arrazola, where artisans specialising in woodwork will teach you how to makethe mystical figures called “ alebrijes”, hand-painted carvings depicting fantastic creatures.
After the tour, we will stop at Cuilapan de Guerrero, a 16 th century Dominican convent.
Lunch at Zachila, a town steeped in history and traditions. We will be introduce to the flavours of the corn and local cuisine. Return to hotel and time to relax.
Day 5
Continental breakfast at hotel Casa Hostal de la Noria. Excursion to San Bartolo Coyotepec., known for its unique black clay pottery.
Mytical Alebrijes from San Martin Tilcajate, made from wood and hand painted.
Lunch at San Martin Tiljacate.
We will go to Ocotlan de Morelos, a town rich in art and culture that inspired painters such as Rodolfo Morales. Return to hotel to relax or (get lost in ambiance).
Day 6
After lunch, we will stop by the beautiful Basilica de la Soledad and we will taste some of the traditional Oaxaca ice cream.
